AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc. (AMC) is primarily engaged in the business of theatrical exhibition. The company also owns, operates or has interests in theatres primarily located in the United States and Europe. Notably, the company is an indirect subsidiary of Dalian Wanda Group Co., Ltd. (Wanda), a Chinese private conglomerate. As of December 2017, AMC owned, operated or held interests in 649 theatres with a total of 8,224 screens in the United States and 365 theatres and 2,945 screens in European markets. The company also offers a broad range of entertainment alternatives including traditional film programming, independent and foreign films, performing arts, music and sports to its consumers. It also offers food and beverage alternatives beyond traditional concession items, including made-to-order meals, customized coffee, healthy snacks, beer, wine, premium cocktails and dine-in theatre options.

For the fiscal year ended December 2017, AMC’s revenues increased 57.0% or $1,843.3 million to $5.1 billion as compared to the previous year revenues. Revenue growth was primarily due to the acquisition of Nordic Cinema Group and Odeon, London-based Cinemas Group, in November 2016.
