HNI Corporation (HNI) provides office furniture and hearth products. Company’s office furniture products include panel-based and freestanding furniture systems, seating, storage, and tables that are sold primarily through a national system of independent dealers, wholesalers, and office product distributors but also directly to end-user customers and federal, state, and local governments. Its hearth products include a full array of gas, wood, and pellet burning fireplaces, inserts, stoves, facings, and accessories that are sold through a national system of independent dealers and distributors, as well as Corporation-owned distribution and retail outlets.

For the fiscal year ended December 2017, company’s net sales were $2,176 million, a decrease of 1.3%, compared to net sales of $2,203 million in 2016. Net sales decline was driven by a decrease in sales in the office furniture segment, partially offset by an increase in sales in the hearth products segment.
