Lear Corporation (Lear) is one of the leading suppliers in global automotive industry. The company supplies seating, electrical distribution systems and electronic modules, as well as related sub-systems, components and software, to all of the worlds's major automotive manufacturers. Lear has over 257 manufacturing, engineering and administrative locations in 39 countries and are continuing to grow our business in all automotive producing regions of the world, both organically and through complementary acquisitions. Company operates through two business segments: Seating and E-Systems.

Company’s seating segment is engaged in the design, development, engineering, just-in-time assembly and delivery of complete seat systems, as well as the design, development, engineering and manufacture of all major seat components, including seat covers and surface materials such as leather and fabric, seat structures and mechanisms, seat foam and headrests. Lear’s E-Systems segment is engaged in the design, development, engineering and manufacture of complete electrical distribution systems that route electrical signals and manage electrical power within the vehicle for traditional vehicle architectures, as well as high power and hybrid electric systems.

For the fiscal year ended December 2017, company reported the net sales of $20.5 billion, as compared to $18.6 billion for the year ended December 2016, an increase of $1.9 billion or 10%. This growth was primarily driven by new business in North America, Europe and Asia, and the acquisition of Antolin Seating which positively impacted net sales by $1.4 billion and $350 million, respectively.
